Dr. Erica R. Glasper

Dr. Glasper received her BA in Psychology from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA. After earning both a MA and PhD in Psychobiology and Behavioral Neuroscience from The Ohio State University, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton University. Dr. Glasper is now an Assistant Professor in Psychology and the Neuroscience and Cognitive Science graduate program, where she heads the Behavioral Neuroendocrinology Lab. Dr. Glasper’s teaching interests are in Behavioral Neuroscience and Behavioral Endocrinology. Dr. Glasper’s laboratory investigates structural plasticity in the adult and aging brain, its alteration by experiences and hormones, with a view toward understanding their functional relevance. To do so, Dr. Glasper’s research focuses on the interactions among rewarding experiences, such as parenting and mating, hippocampal structural plasticity, and hippocampal function.
